On November 10, the famous actor was chosen to be People’s Magazine Sexiest Man Alive for the year 2021. Although he has opened up about being baffled to receive this recognition, we believe it was well overdue. Paul Rudd has appeared on the cover of the magazine, and being 52 years old, he couldn’t look better! That isn’t hard for him because since his debut on the TV show “Friends”, he doesn’t seem to have aged a single day. Some people consider him a lucky charm as most of the movies he is in end up winning big at the box office.
How Did He Take It?
Many show hosts, friends, and even People Magazine have asked the actor how does it feel to be recognized in such a way. Being such a humble person, Paul has stated that he can’t believe to deserve the honor, but he will take it and use it as much as he can to get new roles in movies and get confident.
Where Do We Know Paul?
He began his career as a supporting character in romantic comedies, but he became really famous with movies like “The 40-year-old-virgin” and “The Anchorman”. He later became an action-comedy star in his MCU debut in “Ant-Man”. His most recent movie “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” is set to release on November 19, and he is set to reprise his superhero role in “Ant-man and The Wasp Quantum Mania”.
How Has Everyone Reacted?
Peers and friends came up to comment, as Ryan Reynolds, who had received the same honor in 2010, gave him some advice and told him to own the award and don’t act shy or humble about the title. On the other hand, his wife couldn’t believe it when she got the news. She said that she would have chosen Keanu Reeves instead!
Who Chooses the Sexiest Man Alive?
Since 1985, People magazine has taken on the task of choosing who will be the handsome and lucky gentleman to appear on the cover. Several men and women from the publication discuss possible candidates and choose the best for the year. Although many other lists have been compiled, it would seem that People has the last word in the matter, as everyone is expectant to see who will win each year. We can hardly wait for next year’s issue!
